Martina Bottazzo

Martina Bottazzo is a Certified Public Psychologist who uses a trauma-informed CBT approach. She adapts her work by integrating relational and depth-oriented perspectives when useful.
Her clinical focus includes depression, anxiety, chronic stress and burnout, as well as relational and attachment difficulties. She also works with clients dealing with religious or spiritual trauma. She pays close attention to how early environments shape attachment patterns and supports clients in developing boundaries and autonomy.
She is currently a PhD student in the Clinical Pedagogy program at Osaka University, where she researches the long-term impact of adverse childhood experiences in religious contexts. Her clinical background includes work with adolescents and preteens in school and community settings, as well as adults in hospital and telehealth contexts.
Having lived abroad long-term, she is attentive to the challenges faced by expats and individuals with multicultural backgrounds. She provides an empathic and inclusive therapy space for clients across a wide range of identities.
Martina is a member of the Japanese Association of Certified Public Psychologists (JACPP). She uses their ethical framework to help guide her practice. Her aim as a therapist is to help clients make sense of their experiences, recognize limiting patterns, and develop practical, sustainable ways of navigating daily life.
