Teo Knives is a clinical psychologist and counselor with a focus on supporting the international and expat community in Japan. With a dedication to helping clients navigate personal and professional growth, find emotional fulfillment, and foster meaningful relationships, Teo brings expertise in addressing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, psychosomatic symptoms, and personality disorders.

Drawing from personal experiences of cultural adaptation and the quest for purpose in unfamiliar environments, Teo is committed to guiding others through these challenges and fostering a sense of connection to their new life. In counseling sessions, Teo integrates psychodynamic and existential therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based interventions to promote self-awareness and personal growth.

Teo Knives holds a Postgraduate Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Moscow Institute of Psychoanalysis. Currently undertaking a Ph.D. program in Psychoanalysis and Psychopathology at Kyoto University, Teo’s extensive training and expertise contribute to providing clients with a supportive and transformative therapeutic experience.
